Chadd "Wick" Ashley,
My career path lead me to Real Estate after working as a ski instructor, high school Art teacher, and Contractor. This role offers me the opportunity to do what I enjoy which is listening and supporting people in achieving their goals.
After numerous remodeling projects at home and for clients, I’ve become a regular at The Rebuilding Center and have been known to score some incredible deals on Craigslist. I can dish out referrals to home related professionals like nobody’s business. I have a passion for keeping things as Green as possible and can help our clients incorporate some affordable solutions to updating their homes in this way.
When I’m not working, you’ll find me hanging out with my family, planning my next Ski trip, mentoring teens, training for mountain bike races , eating donuts, or grabbing a beer at Breakside Brewery with a friend. I am also very passionate about families in need so in 2016 I became a board member of the Community Warehouse.
Real Estate runs in my family. My Grandmother, Mom, Dad and two siblings have also helped people find homes they love and sell homes they’ve outgrown.
It is odd to find a third generation realtor out there!
After years of teaching 8th grade Science, it was only natural that I’d join in the family tradition and start providing service of a different kind. My teaching background has brought education, empowerment, patience, creativity, and fun to my work with clients here in the Portland area – clients who have helped me build my business through their generous referrals.
When I’m not introducing home-seekers to their new neighbors or making sure inspections are running smoothly, my family and I love finding adventures throughout the Pacific Northwest. Before we had kids you might have found Wick and I kayaking in Vancouver BC or climbing mountain peaks. Nowadays we are often camping, biking, or exploring Forest Park with our two kids and two dogs. We have just begun to take our family backpacking- which has been awesome. We all love to ski - especially at Ski Bowl, Hoodoo, and Anthony Lakes. I love cooking, gardening, and exercising of any kind. Every Winter season, you will find me coaching basketball at our kids' school . I am learning to play the guitar alongside my kids who are also learning musical instruments. I love to learn and you can often find my nose in a book. Ask me what I am reading and I am sure I'll talk your ear off!
Here we are enjoying Manzanita. One of our favorite beaches. June 2013.
