Jump Start Your Home Projects By Throwing a Party

Hey everyone, Karoline here.

Wick and I have a saying that if you want to get anything done around your house, schedule a party and you will be amazed at what you could get done.

Yes, we all love a deadline, but seriously it’s a great way to motivate you when you realize a bunch of people are going to be going through your house.

So here we are at ground zero, two days away from our huge summer barbecue where we invite all of you, our trusted clients into our home and backyard for some serious fun.

I’m going to give you a few tips to really make your home stand out, and are a great excuse to get some important home maintenance done.

#1: Once a year I suggest power washing your home, sidewalks, decks ,and patios. This is a great way to maintain all of these areas and once you do it, you’ll be amazed at how dirty your concrete actually was. Don’t have a power washer handy? Borrow one from a friend, rent one, or call our favorite power washer Dan, with Hydro Power Wash.

#2: The other thing to consider is having your windows washed. Preferably after the rainy season.

We contact All Pro Metro to wash our windows in and out, and our screens. I’m always shocked at after they come, because often it looks like there’s not even any glass in our windows it’s so clean.

It’s kind of like when you clean your eyeglasses or sunglasses, and then everything is so much clearer.

#3: Number three, mulch.

Mulch once a year makes your garden and planting look awesome, but it’s also a great moisture retainer. After your spring planting, sprinkle around some mulch.

And if you’re having a large event or don’t have enough supplies, consider renting. Looking around me I’ve rented all kinds of stuff for our barbeque, you can rent dishes, silverware, tables, linens. It makes it so much easier, and it’s not as expensive you think.

We rent tables for our block party so we can have a long banquet meal. We always rent a snow-cone machine, and margarita machine for our block party, and the barbeque, and I have to say one of the best reasons why I love hosting an event at our home besides having everyone here, is that all the time and energy we put into the event to make our house look nice gets to be enjoyed by us for many months to come.

I always love our house the most right after a party.

So by the way these are all the same things I recommend when you’re putting your house up for sale, but why wait, spoil yourself and your home and make it shine just for you to enjoy.

And of course if you need any referrals ls to help you get your home ready for a party, give me a call, and enjoy your summer.
